My testimony may be different than most but God works on His perfect clock and by His own will. I came to the Lord with understanding in my heart at age 8 at a Billy Grahm crusade. I even got to meet him that day and shake his hand. That was cool. My mother always has told me what she thought about what happened that following Sunday at church, there was an open mic for those who felt like speaking about how the crusade affected them personally. So do to the fact that I knew that I had changed because of it I felt like the Lord wanted me to get up and let these people know what's up. So I did just that and my Mom always compares that to when Jesus left His parents to go to the temple and was talking with those who were there at a oh so young age (Luke 2:41-52). For me my friendship and relationship started then with my Father and He has been with me ever since in my life even though unfortually I walked away from Him a few times over the years but I've matured in Christ and am with Him always and I know how hard it is to be in this world and that's why now I want to provide the youth of today with the guidance I wasn't given. I've been through a lot in this evil world but I will not boast of my wicked past. All I will say is all will fall short and make mistakes and that is the exact reason He died for us. But if we lean on ourselves you get no where fast but with Him you let Him be in control and ride it in for eternity. One thing I had trouble understanding was what God wanted from me. That's one of the reasons I feel I fell away those times along with the struggles of persecution wether it be family, friends or society cause it is out there. I won't try to lie to anyone, following Christ is a choice and a battle. It's tuff and God promises that it will be. He does that because he knows that when we give Christ our life satan is going to attack because he is prideful and wants to win a predetermined battle that he is promised to lose. There is a lot to it, but with child-like faith it really is easy to see. Here at S.I.C.K. we want to help guide anyone who needs it and answer any questions you may have.
